Here Is A Great Resource for Teaching Students about 21st Century Learning Skills

June 12, 2016
Mozilla Learning Network provides a wide range of web literacy materials to help educators and teachers incorporate the digital skills of the 21st century learning. It offers free resources that include programs, tools, guides, and step-by step teaching activities that you can use in class with students to help them develop the ability to read, write and participate in an openly networked world. We spent sometime sifting through the materials offered in Mozilla Learning Network and we found them really worth the shout-out here. What stood out to us the most from this collection is a section called web Literacy.

Web Literacy provides an initial framework that examines the entry-level web literacy skills (participate, read and write) and 21s century learning skills (problem solving, communication, creativity and collaboration). These skills are presented in a beautiful visual map which you can explore by simply clicking on a given skill and you will be provided with more information about it including things such as definitions and activities to use in class with students. Each activity comes with a set of instructions on how to use it with students together with a detailed overview of the web literacy and 21st century skills it attempts to teach. We invite you to check them out and share with your colleagues. Enjoy
